About Karachi Community Radio (KCR)
Established in 2017, Karachi Community Radio (KCR) operates as a community-driven project with a focus on archiving, promoting, and advancing contemporary music and art. Our intervention of sound and space is dedicated to the cultivation and expansion of the electronic music and DIY experimental audio-visual scene, particularly from a South Asian perspective. Over the years, KCR has extended its influence on a global scale, gaining recognition for producing Pakistan’s first "Boiler Room" event, which has garnered millions of views worldwide. Additionally, KCR has produced visuals for Glastonbury Festival, Ultra, Coachella and curated projects for prestigious platforms such as Biennale, Cannes Film Festival, Lot Radio, Dub Lab, Keep Hush and Public Records, among others.
